WorldEmber 2022 Challenge Article

Week 1

During WorldEmber this year I'm going to work on Aegimius, specifically the continent of Hellonde on MIlleadh. This will give me an opportunity to hash out this continent before we really dive into it in the new campaign.

Week 2

Scope

Hellonde is the second smallest continent of MIlleadh. It is currently home to three different kingdom's/countries.

• Menait Dynasty
• Icraiba Empire
• Roning

Relations between the countries are strenous due to tensions rising in the center of the continent.

Theme

The theme in this part of the world is the rediscovery of technology and incorporating it with existing magic. We'll be exploring the reintegration of Humans into normal society as they become pivitol in the understanding of the technology.

Mood

The Menait Dynasty has many grecian influences, using alot of white stone found and harvested from the Dragonfire Steeps. Crecent Moons are found throughout the kingdom carved into the buildings and in other promenent symbols.

The Icraiba Empire has a more ancient Egyptian feel with lots of gold bronzes and turquoise throught the decor. The Icraiba Empire is mainly made of humans and half humans, indivudals who have come to rely on technology to get things done since they haven't been trusted with magic by the society at large, so ther is a massive steampunk vibe throughout the desert country.

Roning is predominantly forest so their mood is darker. There's a very Germanic Brother's Grimm vibe. Wooden archeticture, lots of buildings in the dark. Alot of forest dwelling peoples.
