Kingdom of Arkan

The Kingdom of Arkan was a Drakani kingdom founded at the beginning of the Age of Renewal by Queen Akra and Saint Azalea. The Kingdom dominated the south-eastern coast of Zaido until anti-dragon partisans waged war upon the Kingdom after an errant drakani general went rogue. This event led to a war that culminated in the self-destruction of Arkan's capital, Arush Altok, and its leadership fled into the Wyrmback Mountains to form a government in exile. The Holy Kingdom of Veral was founded soon after the Kingdom of Arkan surrendered, though the Drakani government-in-exile have been a thorn in Veral's side ever since.
