Sword of Selûne

"In the day of silence and stillness, find me. For now the power of the moonslight will heed your call" -Selûne to Vaarhin Nala
The Sword of Selûne, also known as the Marama Pewa, Ascalon, and countless other names, is a curved shamshir-like sword that has been traditionally used by those that serve the goddess Selûne. Depending on the disposition and choices of its wielder, the sword has been rumored to take on different traits. It has been reported to have more destructive capabilities when the wielder is vengeful or self serving or more protective attributes if the wielder uses the sword in defense of others.

History

  • It is rumored that the "Marama Pewa" version of the blade once killed the Phoenix known as Solaris, one of the few remaining Phoenix's remaining in the Material Plane during the Age of Renewal.
  • The Blade is currently wielded by Vaarhin Nala, though the dragonborn can no longer use the holy blade's magical properties as she is now a warlock of the Raven Queen and has been touched by death, thus making the holy bladed unable to be wielded.
