Aeliria /eɪ.ˈlɪr.i.ə/ Central-Earth

This World of Regions has a history that spans a litany of Ages (at least 7 according to the Histories) since the creation of the first non-divine sentient beings; comprised of several regions that are denoted by the races that dwell in them, Aurora is a world that has been altered by the conduct of these races (Men, Elves, Dwarves, Orcs) in their pursuit for domination and advancement. The land has also been impacted by the Wills of the Supreme Beings that originate from the Pantheon of Gods; governed by an ultimate being called 'The One', the two Supreme Beings (Valikar the Enlightened, and Wrathnor the Void) oversee the conduct of the known universe.   The Western Stretches comprises of vast swathes of land, both coastal and continental. Consisting of coastal regions denoted with sodden marshlands, Elven folk have thrived agriculturally due to the fertility of these areas. Scattered across islands, big and small, the Elven Folk live in harmony among one another. Dwarven folk choose to live more in-land amongst the hills and forests of the Western Stretches; Dwarven folk are drawn to these areas due to the abundance of precious gems and other valuable resources.   Across the Millennia, Elven and Dwarven folk have consistently clashed due to resources, insults, or the simple dislike of each others customs. The Elven folk drastically out-number their Dwarven counter-parts, and occupy the majority of the Western Stretches; however, Dwarven folk have been able to tame dragons for their use in defense, and the building of strongholds. The numerical advantage of the Elven folk is checked through the possession of dragons by the Dwarven folk. Due to this cultural difference, it is frowned upon for any Elven folk to tame dragons, instead utilising magic and engineering to combat the threat.
