Wellspring

Description

Wellsprings are a magical anomaly found throughout Aellorah, and resemble a small volcano, but instead of magma, there is a swirling vortex of magical energy inside. These wellsprings are prone to magical eruptions, during which the arcane energy released can cause devastation to the surrounding areas and even create strange magical anomalies throughout the world. Wellsprings are also the source of all magic on Aellorah. When a Wellspring erupts, a large column of chaotic magical energy resembling a tornado appears at the caldera, and wisps of magical energy shoot out to the surrounding areas. It is believed that these wisps of energy are what causes the magical anomalies found throughout Aellorah.
