Drakantal Empire Wiped Out

During this time, Voidspawn, attracted by the Flow being consumed by the great Dwarven magic users of the time, descended upon Arak and swiftly wiped out the Dwarven civilization known as the Drakantal Empire. Very few Dwarves remained in Arak following this event, with the survivors mostly being within the Esterburn Highlands.
  After the Dwarves' disappearance, the Kingdom of Derunadel would assume control of their lands and solidify their power in Arak.
