Origin of Myths

The word "myth" in common comes from the elven word "mɪθ" meaning God, and the Koranan word "myf" meaning drink. Many believe that when the humans first came into contact with the elves, these fantastical stories shared over a pint couldn't possibly be real. However from the elves perspective they were trying to convey very real events.  The early humans were too young a race to remember many of the worlds history. Dealings with titans, Gods; beings of that immense power could have been only stories. Humans have dealt with magic before. Creatures like witches, vampires, lycanthropes, giants, and dragons have all plagued humanity in the past. But these creatures were able to be dealt with given enough physical prowess. The elves on the other hand, were one of the first races to come into existence. Spending their first few thousand years as immortals, before Kroll had begun reaping the souls of the mortal plane. Before the first elf had met his end they were already well over their three thousandth year. Living through the Titan war, and many other catastrophes, elves had a very healthy understanding of the true power of the Gods.
