Yuan-ti

Yuan-ti were humans that were transformed via rituals to appease Apep however something went wrong and instead they became serpent people. Most yuan-ti were corrupted into monsters by those rites, but some yuan-ti instead became a new people who mix characteristics of humans and snakes.

However a yuan-ti looks, they have the power to pursue great good or evil in the multiverse.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Blessed with resistance to magical and poisonous effects by the rituals that created them, each of these yuan-ti manifests their serpentine heritage in a variety of ways: a forked tongue, snake eyes, a snakelike nose, or some other ophidian characteristic.

Genetics and Reproduction

All yuan-ti can interbreed. Females usually lay clutches of eggs, which are stored in a common hatchery, although live births aren’t uncommon. A mating between yuan-ti of different types almost always produces eggs that hatch into yuan-ti of the weaker parent, so most choose partners of the same type in the interest of maintaining the strength of their personal bloodline.

Growth Rate & Stages

Yuan-ti mature at the same rate as humans and have lifespans similar in length to theirs.
