Wetzel Liberatus
The first Wetzel to expel the virus of Rayfield from its system, Wetzel Liberatus was one of the heroes of the Reckoning and a prominent member of the Frostflower Travelers. While he was not, in fact, the first Zelian Model Steeljoint, he spent his life believing that he was until he encountered a vast pit of discarded Wetzels much like himself. It didn't take long to piece together that Triquiis Fenwyn, his creator and mother, had destroyed each of them. After some investigation and speaking with Triq upon finding her in an alternate reality, Wetzel learned that Triq had felt obligated to kill the Wetzels on account of the Rayfield consciousness in their minds, though Wetzel himself had successfully freed himself from that curse at that time.
Wetzel went on to stand against Urguzuth, the Eldest Evil in the Reckoning, specifically taking on his oldest and dearest friend Cafley Youngshout as they found themselves on opposing sides of the apocalyptic conflict. During that battle, Wetzel saw his creator, Dr. Fenwyn, fall to Cafley and her grozavar horde. He, himself, would have fallen as well were it not for the bravery of Erakhan Makathune and Kegginston Cogglesworth.
