Mountain Sheep Village of Ozryn

The party does a pit stop in Ozryn during their journey through the mountains as a sort of midway point. Ozryn is the hometown of Triss and this is also where the party gets to meet her parents. There is a small reunion and Triss will be able to collect some good items from her house. From here the party can stay at the inn, collect astrid blooms and terraroots, and go back and forth from town to synthesize some great items. After this the party can continue on.

Demographics

The people of Ozryn are almost all sheep farmers and goat farmers. Instead of large farmlands, each house in the village has its own pen and garden to raise their small herds.

Government

There is no government in Ozryn, nor is there anyone to enforce the law. Rather, the people of the village live by a code of ethics have strong bonds with each other. Everyone in the village takes care of each other. However, the village does have their own Sahn, the title given to a man who is a respected elder of the community and presides over all rituals, festivals, village gatherings. Sahns are common among the mountain people, a very ancient practice dating back thousands of years.

There are a few windmills up on the high places of the village.

Architecture

Ozryn is a small mountain village in the Western Mountain Range. Nestled in the mountains, high up. In the village, there are all the regular amenities like a pub, inn, shops and the like. The houses are spaced apart from each other to give room for gardens and pens. Almost every family has their own small herd of goats or sheep. Nearby, around the village grow flowers called astrid blooms and terraroots. These are rare plants that only grow in certain altitudes. Overall, the village is peaceful and very quaint.

Geography

Ozryn was built nestled in the mountaintops. Situated among three hilltops, the town has its town square in a dip in the middle, while the surrounding houses are built on ascending sides. From every side of the village, there are breathtaking views of the mountains.
