The Ebras Mountains

After Triss joins the party and they leave Inora, they are taken to the northern foot of the mountains near the town of Skarro (see map of Zarafell). From here, Triss guides the party through the mountains, visiting a small sheep farming village and tackling many obstacles and dangerous monsters. During their journey through the mountains, Triss is established as a new and vital member of the party.

Geography

The Ebras Mountains, also known The Ebras, is a major mountain range western Zarafell. The Ebras is one of the longest mountain ranges in the world and stretches over 2000 miles from the northern region of Norfell going south toward the southern edge of Dori. The Ebras is notable for having some of the tallest peaks in the world (the 2 tallest peaks are located in other countries) the tallest being Mount Rakhu standing at 8156 m (26,781 ft) above sea level. The eastern ridge of the Ebras rises dramatically over the Noldrin Valley, towering over the cities of Korwen, Solsten, and Soma, and overshadowing Long Lake and the Lake of Kings before the mountains turn towards the east forming the Midzaran Shield. Past the Shield it continues south past the city of Windfall and into the Windy Prairies of Dori. Along the west ridge of the Ebras, starting in the north is the Zandra Grasslands and moving south into the province of Kerwell, past the Salazon River, and then down in Dori ending at the northside of Wellwood.
With snowy peaks and beautiful scenery, the mountains are home to many kinds of people, despite being mostly uninhabitable. Including sheep and goat farmers (or similar kinds of creatures) and people who live underground in caves and mines. Not many people would consider traveling through the mountains as a means of traversing the country, however it is the most scenic route.

Fauna & Flora

Flora - The Ebras Mountains are unique to the rare flower called astrid blooms. A flower that grows in very high altitudes and has only been found in the Ebras. Terraroots also grow hrere among rocky soil in high altitudes. Nowhere else in the world have these plants been found.
Fauna - The Ebras are home every species of goat and sheep, as well as flying octoro and the kukuru bird.
