Festival of Light
Being a Human tradition even before the time of the Tear, the Festival of Light is held all across Ederaa on the last day of Mira.
Execution
At midnight of the 30th of Mira, all across the land the lantern will get released, filling the sky with bright lights leaving every spectator in awe.
Components and tools
Each family, no matter how large or small, is preparing their own lantern for the festival. While the monarchy is handing out free, undecorated lanterns to anyone sending in a request in time, many members of society are crafting their own. During the week leading up to the event, the lanterns are painted and decorated with dried flowers, drawings, calligraphy, origami animals and blossom. Each family has their unique lantern in the end, which they will sent towards the sky, carrying their wishes for the new year to come and their worries away.
Participants
Every inhabitant of Ederaa is invited to join the festivities, no matter what roots they are coming from or what race they belong to. From the underclass up to the queen and king themselves, everyone chimes in.
