Beleaguered Lands

The lands of the Witch Queen, the former centre of the continent of Starhelm, and its ever-encroaching influence is known as the Beleaguered Lands. The old Human cities of Barrowhaven and Goldensheaf were destroyed in the Fractioning and their lands are slowly being taken over by the Plaguelands of the Witch Queen.
A blasted wasteland of scarred and plagued lands that extends for miles. The central point of destruction caused by the Fractioning, the ruins of the Human capital city of Starhelm and its cursed and evil inhabitants spread much fear and corruption across all of Starhelm. The land itself poisons those who travel or dwell there, and nothing can grow.
