Falion

Large celestial, chaotic evil

The Falion is the result of a winged lion, corrupted by the Fallen curse.  Originally created by Flane to protect his prized city of Exandar, these once celestial winged lions befell the same curse that was inflicted on their masters at the end of the Avariel civil war.  They fell alongside the rest of the Fallen and their tails, once used for healing, now cause agonizing pain to those subjected to its effects.  A sting of the Falion's tail can even spread the Fallen curse to those not able to act quickly enough.
