Northwood

Northwood is mainly the forests of Aspenshield, where the Wood Elves and Forest Gnomes make their homes. Tribes of Wood Elves make villages throughout the centre and north edge of the woods, while the High Elves of Aspenshield congregate with their great shield of protection against the wretched Fallen of Azdurok. The colder climate makes travel in the northern forests uncomfortable at best, or deadly at worst. The Wood Elves and the High Elves of the Northwood respect each other but they are not as friendly with one another as their southern cousins are. None doubt the awesome power and wisdom of the Crystal Queen and even the most cynical of creatures know to respect her.
Guarded deep within the forest is the Platinum Bridge, a known entrance to the Beastlands. There are some that use it to travel great distances quickly but it is quite difficult and dangerous if one doesn’t know the paths. All manner of beasts and Fey can be found in Aspenshield as some of them make their way out of the Platinum Bridge, either by accident or by design.
