Shalehaven

The City of Shalehaven is the ancestral home of the Earth Dwarves and probably the most visited Dwarf city by outsiders. It is the face of the Dwarves to the upper races and the diplomats, merchants, and more social members of Dwarven society in the Barrier Guard either come from there or from the surrounding areas. It has always, and is currently ruled by the Heartfire clan, who remain steadfast in their duty to protect the denizens of the Barrier Guard from evil, depredation, and hardship, while maintaining strong relations with good and noble people. They keep their outer halls clean, impressive, but not too ostentatious, for fear of embarrassing their guests with their riches. They are gracious, polite, and strict on manners when dealing with outside visitors, but they will seldom invite them down to their lower city.   The people of Shalehaven have a strong and lasting friendship with Essillion, and the Halflings of Lutien’s Vale, particularly in Springmeadow.
