Pyne secedes from the Empire after the beheading of a beloved ship captain. Many hostilities at sea ensued between Pyne & the Empire.
The Imperial Navy intercepted a Pyne supply ship departed from Imperial City and contracted to the Celestial Coast. Captain Hutch Perimas had been ordered to hand over his goods for Emperor Lamont. The Emperor issued the order specifically to incense & humble Captain Perimas as the captain had made a valid point on a matter at court the previous evening that embarassed the Emperor. The captain was a beloved leader and long friend of the governing family of Pyne. He refused the order of the Emperor, partly to uphold his contract & partly to defy the Emperor who had been disrespecting his homeland the last few years. Upon the Imperial Commander's seizing of the vessel and crew, the captain was asked why his ship was leaving port after the request of the Emperor. "I was honoring my contract. That's something the people of Pyne do," Captain Perimas defiantly responded. The captain was beheaded on the deck of his own ship. His head was taken to the Emperor, his body was left to his crew.
