Goldthrone

Goldthrone is the capital city of the Rooksfield region of Suvonna. It is a very large city well-known for its merchants. It is also the headquarters of the Golden Consortium and Harvest Guard and is an occasionally stopping point for the sky city of Gusthaven.

Demographics

Like most of Suvonna, the majority of the Goldthrone population is humans and elves, however here it is more likely to see more exotic races like Dragonborn, Aasimar, and Warforged.

Government

The ruling class in Goldthrone are the wealthy merchants who make up the Golden Consortium. Being in control of the imports and exports of Suvonna, they have control over most of the nation. They finance the Harvest Guard and other public services in return for taxes from the people of Suvonna.

Defences

Goldthrone is the capital of the Harvest Guard and most of their sponsors, thus it is the most guarded city in Suvonna. In addition, wealthy merchants often hire private guards or mercenaries for their own personal protection. The center of the city is surrounded by stone walls mounted with Ballistae. Goldthone also has airship docks which are capable of launching ships to defend the city.

Industry & Trade

Goldthone is the center of trade of all of Suvonna and thus all sorts of goods can be found here. However, it is also a producer of finely crafted weapons or accessories.

Infrastructure

Being a capital city of a large mercantile state, Goldthrone is home to almost any service an adventurer may desire. They have massive stores of any type, master craftsmen with their workshop, and coliseums specialising in different sports such as Spellclash. The infrastructure of Goldthrone is a mix of stone and wood which varies throughout the city.

Assets

Being the base of many wealthy merchants, Goldthrone is the most decadent place in Suvonna - only to be beaten by Gusthaven which occasionally flies by the continent.
