Imixan

Imixan is a large continent in Aerois which can be found in the north. It has been finely split into two separate landmasses: Utgard and Iseum.

Geography

Imixan may be considered a single continent by most of Aerois, however the residents often consider the two landmasses completely separate. When Atellicus struck Aerois with his spear and split the world into multiple continents in The Sundering, Imixan was struck with a beam of energy which bore through the earth. However, in the recovery, the people of Aerois were quick to create a bridge to cover the gap which was then called Unity.
The land of Imixan is a mix of mountainous rocky terrain, deserts and plains.

History

During the last hundred years, two nations rose up in Imixan - a nation of Demi-Humans in Iseum, and a human and dwarven commonwealth in Utgard. The Demi-human nation of Iseum, lead by four great houses, attempted to take over the entire continent but were eventually repelled by the current human king. As a result of the battle, the most powerful of the four great Demi-human houses were nearly exterminated and the people of the two respective nations hated each other bitterly. Tensions between the two nations have been festering for years.
