Arcan

Unlike the tongues of mer Arcan is a more complex language used to manipulate reality and create magic. Arcan consists of 'words of power' which cause effects when correctly spoken or combined with material or somatic elements. Any spellcaster can read Arcan with the words often being described as having 'whispered' to the magi.

Writing System

Arcan sigils bear little similarity to one another with each singular word forming a magical operation within a rune. Once written again the rune gains magical properties as it were cast from its creator. Construction of runes is done through transcribing Arcan sigils in a sentance.
