Summary
Brunhilda and the Tower is a Rapunzel-like tale of a young woman held captive in a tower by her evil witch of a mother and rescued by a dashing prince. The mother kills the prince and resurrects him as a slave to torment Brunhilda, but he overcomes even the mindlessness of undeath to be with her. Brunhilda's love breaks the curse and restores him to life.

A common Istrian folk tale, the story of Brunhilda and the Tower is known by near every citizen of the nation. It is a favorite among them though variations do exist particularly regarding Brunhilda's name or the mother / step-mother's species.
If the Colonial Age it was put to print in Master Osmiths Tales of the Land and became beloved across the land.
In Art
Many Istrian artists would depict illusions to Brunhilda in artwork featuring castles and towers such as wisps of hair or faintly etched sigils. Portrayals of the reresection of the prince and the imprisonment of Brunhilda are also common choices among Istrian artists.
