Druids

Druids use ancient magical techniques to draw on the latent Arcanum in nature. Their spell casting is drawn from the world around them and oftentimes used in balance. Druids are granted their access to this natural magics through the favour of the Green Father, whether they know it or not, though unlike his clerical champions Druids are merely stewards of nature and except for exceptional circumstances are left to attend to their natural demesne on their own.
Druids tend to know ancient magical techniques that give them insight into the animal world beyond that of humanity. They have access to information beyond the civilised world often lost to time and kept only by the Treants and ancient beings of the woodlands. Druids share this academic knowledge though their spells tend to come more from word of mouth in hidden corners of the world.

Following the restriction and criminalisation of unauthorised magic in the empire Druids fell into an unclear legal designation. Formerly they were criminals and to be persecuted by the clergy but often the church turned a blind eye to those who practiced in isolation away from the civilised world. Those who dared to show their craft in public or sought to taught groups were quickly challenged and executed by the church.
