Eye-Catcher
Summary
It can see what you cannot,
giving wisdom, trading rot.
Cursed swarms of glinting waste,
dealing pain to spite your face.
Cross your heart and hope to die,
stick a needle in your eye,
Eye catcher, eye patcher,
hide from the eye catcher!

A folk tale from Morilliseum 'Eye Catcher' is a common story for young wizards that tells both the dangers of pacts and also a means to expand ones power. The Eye Catcher is in fact a real entity that can be reached through a ritual who replaces ones eye with a putrefied rot which grants the wearer access to his own putrid archives though doing so makes the wearer conscious of their pain and suffering.
In the Colonial Age it was put to print in Master Osmiths Tales of the Land though this was only the case for the first edition following church objections.
