Horcrux

A Horcrux is a magical item within part of ones soul has been split and bound by a talented transmuter. Horcrux appear no different to their non-magical copies with the exception that when damaged blood pours from the 'wound' as if it were alive. The destruction of a Horcrux can be felt by its maker and ends the immortality that they enjoyed. 
While in existence a Horcrux takes wounds and age on behalf of its maker who maintains their appearance at the time of their creation.
