Summary
Cackle, Cackle
She comes with the shackle
To hold you down
and take the white crowns

Her sound makes a rattle
If your teeth are rotten
She'll pick them like cotten
Cackle, Cackle
Dark as the jackal
If you won't help your child
Then be sure Katelyn has smiled
Spread
Katelyn Crooked-Teeth is an old Teremian fairy tale commonly shared as a warning to children who neglect their children. While the subject seems to denote an idea of teeth growing rotten and needing to be removed many assume this to be an analogy for rotten behaviors that grow dangerous if parents ignore them.
It the Colonial Age it was put to print in Master Osmiths Tales of the Land though it was not as famous as some of its other tales.
In Art
Katelyn Crooked-Teeth has been interpreted by some as a faey creature and is thus included in some images of the faey wilds often alongside the Baba Yaga.
