The Larashel Necronomicon

Translated as The Rites of the Keepers of the Damned from Quori the Larashel Necronomicon is a decrepit tome bound by the skin of men and elves. This book bears the rites of the Keepers and locks any who speak them to their will.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Reading a rite will allow its namesake to seize control if the initial prayers are first spoken. At next sleep give PC a dream in which they are allowed to swap class to Paladin or Warlock as appropriate of their new patron. They have no choice but to be bound to patron who they can oppose.

History

Beings of myth, the Keepers of the Damned were a conclave of Liches that ruled the Sand Kingdom of Larashel. Seeking to defy death and seize all souls of the realm for themselves they pushed the boundaries of magic to twisted boundaries. Each of these Liches would come to a cruel fate at the hands of the traitor Acererak who claimed their power for himself.
The Larashel Necronomicon contains their knowledge and rites allowing for their summoning or for their possession of a host.
