The Speaker

The Speaker was the leader of Clan Ansigtsløse during the mythic age from the fall of the Emerald King. While beyond the Clan the leader was traditionally known as a Jarl the use of the title 'Speaker' became commonplace after their right to the title of jarl was stripped from the Emerald King's actions. 
The Speaker was an enigmatic figure who kept within their mind the collective wisdom and forms of Clan Ansigtsløse to offer on to the agents of the clan for their wisdom. The Speaker understood how to perform a spell that would transfer their memories to others and used this to exchange forms and purposes to others within the clan. 
When the time of the speakers death would come they would chose their successor and transfer all that they knew to the new Speaker before taking their life in a discreet place such as that none but the new speaker would know a change in power had taken place. For this reason many within the valley, and some within the Clan, believed the Speaker to be an immortal.
