The Sundering
The Sundering was a major event in the History of Cryssack.
Following the collapse of the Tsardom by the savage Great Horde few survived in the land with most migrating to the capitol in search for anything of a new order. Amidst the ruins one man took to leadership. The Lord Karev.
With the White Cloaks following him Karev instituted a strict autocratic government with him as the newly pronounced Tsar. In the countryside however those that remained rejected his rule accusing him of opportunism, cowardice and exhibiting everything that doomed the old rule. His key challenge came from a peasant general named Sergei Druskov.
After a decade of tension Karev finally had a strong foothold in the capitol allowing him to begin reclaiming the exterior from its warlords, many of whom had united behind Druskov and refused to pay taxes to the ‘illegitimate tsar’.
This led to the War of Three Moons. A century long conflict that would see over fourteen leaders join the civil war in an attempt at leadership and permanently divide the nation of Cryssack into two groups: The Cryot and the Tsardori.
At the end the peasant General of the Tsardori, Rukir Drakov, seized control of the capitol and ‘countryside’ creating the New State of Tsardoria. Following this huge amounts of Cryssack refugees were exiled into the wastes where they have formed communities in the Falaran Empire and the Golden City biding time for their return.
