Wereangler

A common sight below the waves but rarely heard of on land wereanglers are feared predators within the civilisations in the Drowned Sea often forming predatorial swarms that ambush lost travellers. Wereanglers are aggressive and vicious creatures whose hypersensitive vision leads them to fear the light. They struggle to endure civilisation taking even the smallest slight as provocation to unleash their beastial nature.
Wereanglers, if not already unable, must breathe underwater in their hybrid and angler form. They possess exceptional night vision but are made uncomfortable by excessive light. They are also exceptionally swift swimmers able to weave through the water as if a fish themselves.
