Aepollum, the Isle of Dragons
Aepollum is the primal landmass of Aesor, originating as a mere rock of dragonstone, the birthplace of the Aeos Parure and life on the mortal world. In the heart of Aesor, this island serves as the longstanding home of Dragons, witnessing the dawn of existence and evolving into the greatest empire of Aesor and later turning into ruin.
Origins
Initially a modest outcrop of pure dragonstone (solidifed marcritic Aysus substance), Aepollum has expanded over time to become a landmass of the island we see today, representing an overly elemental landscape. It was here that Kalzamaath forged the Aeos Parure, summoning forth the first Dragons and laying the cornerstone of life on Aesor. Each facet of this island encapsulates the one of the five elements, embodying all types of ecosystems found on Aesor, compressed in the territory of one island. From wind-swept jungles to molten volcanic terrains, from icy plains to lush woodlands, Aepollum, by the hands of the Dragons became the one and true mixture of all elemental forces.Draconic Legacy
Since time immemorial, Aepollum has remained the haven of the Dragons, acting as the centre of the First Draconic Empire's might. It now stands as the seat of power for the Abbey of the Óhin and the pivotal Draconic Alliance, symbolizing a momentous convergence of mortal leadership and draconic wisdom. The establishment of the Draconic Alliance marks a historic milestone, signifying the friendship between the Paragons and the Abbey, forging the first official bond between mortals and Dragons.Aepollum’s Revival
Aepollum's terrain, primarily untouched by mortal hands, bears witness to the solitary settlement of the Isle, the capital city of Aepollum. This ancient city, once the proud seat of the First Draconic Empire, stood neglected and forlorn in the wake of the cataclysmic Dragonfall. However, the emergence of the Abbey of the Óhin breathed new life into the ruins. The city underwent a renaissance, rejuvenated by the diligent efforts of the Paragons, welcoming a diverse influx of inhabitants from far-flung corners of Aesor. These denizens seek solace, religious enlightenment, a tranquil existence away from the chaos, or aspire to serve as Chosen adventurers and Agents, aligned in purpose with the Abbey and the Paragons.General Information
