Kalzamaath's Legacy

Year 1 of the First Age A.A. (After the Awakening)

The Genesis of Aesor

From Aesor, infused with the harmonious blend of elements and the newly made powers of the Heart of the Myst, was born Kalzamaath, otherwise known as the Óhin. Kalzamaath, awakening with unparalleled power, creating Aesor, precipitated the manifestation and purpose of the Five Elements, birthing a world where these prime forces transitioned into reality, left to live up to their potential. As Kalzamaath awakened, the Shattered Light, born of the Kyro-Arizen conflict, encapsulated within the Heart, was wielded to erect a marcritic barrier, shielding the world of Aesor, protected by the Óhin.   The assault by the Scions of Vals thwarted Kalzamaath's ability to shape Aesor instantaneously. Consequently, while the core and elemental aspects of the world were formed, its surface and a significant proportion of its substances remained marcritic - a convergence of liquid Shadow and Light from the Shattered Light, undulating around Aepollum, the only solid little island amid the ebbing waves.   Upon quelling the immediate threat with the Shattered Light, Kalzamaath realized the impossible task of nurturing Aesor while protecting it from Vals’ corruption. Sustaining the Shattered Light's barrier demanded an arduous concentration of energy. Faced with the conundrum of protecting the burgeoning world, Kalzamaath opted for eternal slumber, channeling his focus into preserving Aesor. To execute his will during his rest, Kalzamaath created Dragons, beings akin to the Scions but bearing the Elemental Aspects of the Five Elements instead of Light or Shadow. The specifics of this creation remain obscured however, with historians only speculating on the exact events preceding Kalzamaath's slumber.

The Aeos Parure and the Prophecy

To shield the Powers of Creation from potential adversaries during his slumber, Kalzamaath is believed to have forged the legendary Aeos Parure, also known as the Sovereign Stones. These stones, shrouded in myth, were purportedly forged to work as husks of the Five Elements, Five Stones to hold the Powers of Creation. Dispersed across Aesor's expanse, their precise locations unknown, the Aeos Parure were said to confine the elemental powers, preventing their malevolent dispersal. The academic conjecture surrounding these stones posits them as elemental seeds, speculated to shape and nurture territories or continents influenced by Elemental Aspects, concealed within or beneath their realms.   Subsequently, Kalzamaath inscribed his aspirations and guidelines onto a stone, proclaiming it the Prophecy, the Kingdom's guiding tenets. This prophecy delineated a unified Kingdom that would combat Vals' corruption, saving the Myst while embracing the ideals of Haeis (Light).

The Beginnings of Aesor

The first offspring of Kalzamaath, believed to be the Dragons born as matured adults (inheriting Kalzamaath’s already grown essence instead of being born as fledglings), commenced shaping Aesor in alignment with the Prophecy. In pursuit of Kalzamaath's vision, these elemental beings breathed life into the world. Employing their elemental gifts, they orchestrated the creation of the continents using the elements they were born with. They breathed Earth to create surface soil, Water to create oceans, Wind to carry water as rain and so on, doing their best to achieve Kalzamaath's flourishing world. The Dragons, nurtured the process of the Sovereign Stones, meticulously cultivated Aesor, manifesting Kalzamaath's grand design.   Historians suggest that during this pivotal era, Balrose Demisaga emerged as an advisor to the Dragons, bringing forth a fresh perspective as the first mortal on Aesor. The circumstances surrounding his birth remain elusive, unanswered even by the Lord Taleteller himself. As Balrose and the Paragons remain the primary narrators of early Aesorian history, the Tome of the Kingdom, the official historical record of Aesor, remains under their supervision, allowing them control over the narrative, even as debates persist about the authenticity of their accounts.
