Crowned Ox Merchants Guild
Crowned Ox are a mercantile and trading guild, primarily moving general goods for various suppliers throughout the west of Aesteria. They make profits by selling off purchased goods to both settlements throughout the west of Aesteria as well as selling goods to the kingdom of Ilmora. These goods are usually just general products. Food, clothes, day to day items, and forged goods are purchased within Requiem and then sent on Crowned Ox trade caravans to be sold elsewhere.
These caravans are the lifeblood of the guild and come in two distinct variations. Guild caravans are headed up by official members of the guild and often run the more expensive payments. These are the ones heading for Duskdrift, Lakeacre, or Ilmora. They feature hired guards, multiple wagons, and cold boxes to keep food frozen for trade. Independent caravans are non-guild individuals who run goods for Crowned Ox to lower profit places such as villages like Westford or into the Lordless Lands. These caravans come to the guild looking for routes. They will then pay a security deposit, and be given a time frame and set of supplies. They are not supplied with guards, if they don't make it within the time frame or if the supplies are lost or damaged then they risk losing the security deposit and standing with the guild. On return they are paid a portion of the profit gained.
Crowned Ox runs out of the Hilt primarily, using its local craftsmen as suppliers for the goods they carry.
