The Forgotten Gambit

It's clear that it has been some time ago since this vessel was an active hunter. Being already more akin to the fat merchant vessels instead of the much sleeker warships favored by most pirates, the forgotten gambit has found another form of piracy to turn a profit; Gambling. But don't think this floating casino annex pleasure barge cannot defend itself, its crew has not forgotten what it's like to spill blood for profit.

History

With the growing reputation of shadow right as a "black flag" port and pirate safe haven, the forgotten gambit found it harder and harder to keep up with its far sleeker competitors and struggled to catch even the most waddling mercantile vessel. Turning its weakness of cargo space into a strength by converting the ship into a floating casino quickly turned its fortunes around. For the crew that is, not for the entrepreneurial-minded captain making the chance, as he soon lost the ship in a high stakes game of cards on this very ship. Since that day it has changed hands several times, often as the prize in some game of chance, a wager on a game of skills, or in one case to settle outstanding gambling debts.

Captain

Its current owner, Marion Noire
is the current captain, having worked her way through the ranks as a working girl all the way to quartermaster before going all-in in a now famous game of Moshabarian Hold'em. Certainly the tale of that game of cards has grown somewhat in the telling, but all agree that the ship was won fair and square with an unbeatable hand of cards. Miss Noire doesn't tolerate the slightest hint of cheating aboard her ship, which besides being a point of pride, is just good business practice for a floating casino.
