Brotherhood of Darkness

This was a band of valiant knights sworn to upkeep the safety and honor of their people, but when they saw their brotherhood being cut down by the dark ones, they became desperate. They were approached by a powerful mage, who told them the only way to save their people was to swear allegiance to one who could defeat death itself. Being decimated on the field of battle, they were thus tricked into swearing fealty to the undead mage, and his master. This resulted in the brotherhood indeed living beyond the grave, only to watch helplessly as they were forced to cut down the very ones they loved, for they were then under the influence of the god of darkness. They now had no choice but to do his bidding, thus becoming that which they fought to defeat. A group of these knights swore to break this curse they were inflicted by. During a momentary lapse in their mind control, they fled the halls of their order, and found a way to approach the Vaelym . They were offered reprieve, so long as they swore to follow the exact orders of the Vaelym, and atone for their wrong doings. The only order issued to the new band of Revenant knights - hunt down their former brotherhood members, and put them to their final rest.
