Session 7: Un-shrouded Serpent!

General Summary

• Explored the catacombs under the Silverbrook temple
• found a Nothic
• stared at whistle then Valen
• realised it liked magic
• gave it the Magic pole and the Ball of Green goo and left it to it
• Valen and Fin were quite stompy
• went back to the bandit store and found a prisoner
• an elven merchant named Eldan Amberflow
• he is from the mountain elf city in the north east and was coming to trade with Westharbor when he got accosted by The Shrouded Serpent.
• headed on to the shrouded base under The Smiling Orc
• saw a half-eaten crocodile
• and much destruction
• at least 8 bodies completely eviscerated by the troll in the main area
• went on to the secure room and found The Shrouded Serpent and 4 of his best men
• Poppy found her charm was able to completely control the shrouded serpent
• 2 of his men went to find Derek who poppy blamed for the mess
• fought the bandits and the serpent realised what was happening
• he hid in his vault while you dealt with his goons
• valen blew up the door
• finn was knocked unconscious and Whistlestick managed to entrap the serpent in a thunderous embrace before he succumbed to his many wounds.
• Wene Boley led the Town Guard to the base.
• you learnt the backstory to The Shrouded Serpent
• he was a trainee at the Temple of the Light, but became disillusioned
• He had gotten away with building up his gang until the late lord chancellor Roland found him entering the tunnels through the temple catacombs
The Shrouded Serpent killed him
• Final straw and that meant that the guards were out for him and the info Boley (and Vex were able to share led to their capture
• Guards take everything, almost! found a small leather and paper note book in the serpents pocket.
• found a secret hidden treasure stash

Thank goodness you are ok, that Derek guy released a Troll in the Dungeon, you best go sort him out!
