BOREAS
One of the Primordial Green. He is the Fourth and Last Season Rider. The God of Winter, Snow, Wisdom, Children and Ice. He is one of the Archfey. He is the patron of the Winter Eladrin.
Winter is a harsh time, when most work ceases and people struggle to survive. Boreas is harsh, wise and a stoic god. He sees winter as a time for reflection from a years experience. To those who squander it, he pays with the blizzard and the wolf. To those that appreciate it, he lends his wisdom, so that the next year might be easier. Boreas had a soft spot for children however, he has conjured up many games that they might play and songs they might sing. It is rumoured, that for those who are truly unfortunate, Boreas dons his red cloak and leaves them presents to find, wherever they may be. Boreas, like his colleagues, serves nature first, no matter how unpleasant the task may be.

Worshippers
Boreas does not need worshippers, but he demands that those respect, fear and reflect upon Winter. Not to be taken for granted. For many, it can be a time of rest, but for most, it is still a time for hardship. They pay homage to him and heed his snowstorms as his challenge to the world, bringing the year towards an end, bringing closer people together. Many struggle to survive, and those that wish to pay Boreas heed may.
Those that pay heed may kneel into the snow, and whisper into an icicle, so that their prayers or desperate pleas may be heard. Calling Father Winter. For those that do, they may be visited by a playful white wolf and be granted a boon, or find a message happen upon them, or good tidings.
For those that do not, their nights are cold, their fires burn quickly and are smothered away, their fortunes are forfeit.
Shrines and Temples
Boreas very rarely, if at all, has any temples. He does not seek worshippers. He expects respect. So towns, groves or little places of civilisation pays him homage. They may offer a gift upon their chimneys, their entryways to their homes, or gift it upon a cold-stone altar with an ice-carved effigy to the Father Winter. They may seek guidance from him there.
To those out in the wilds, they may happen to come across a white wolf in their journeys - should they do so, and make camp that night - they may burn a piece of their food or empty an offering into the fire, and make a prayer. Boreas will listen.

Holy Books & Codes
The Merry & Grim Tales of Father Winter: These books are often children bed-time stories and spooky stories, collected across different cultures - and tell moral stories that warn children of the dangers of alcoholism with stupid drunken oafs, addictions with the harmful and selfish tales of evil adults, etc. But the good stories bring happiness, joy and laughter within the dark nights, telling stories of daring adventures of children that are transported to Boreas' realm, able to ride his eight-legged horse, playing with his snow golems, outwitting evil witches that hunger for little children, and the triumphs of friendship, loyalty and family. Some tales end bittersweet, but they become wiser from their journey. And it always ends with a reflection into the dark winter nights.
