Glaistig
Glaistigs are a goat-like people of Faerie. They are mostly Selríochtian.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Glaistigs are humanoid, with goat-like legs, horns, and horizontal slit pupils. They are quite agile and are naturally gifted climbers. In addition, they are quite resistant to many poisons.
Glaistigs have a minor connection to Magic, granting them a limited telepathic ability to communicate with animals. Contrary to popular belief, this does not allow them to talk to animals, as in have actual conversations, as animals are not sapient and as such are incapable of such complex communication. However, glaistigs can send and receive messages in the form of feelings and images, and in the case of intelligent enough animals, words or short phrases. In addition, glaistigs have an intuitive knowledge of animals' body language, and can communicate to them with their own body language more easily than others.
Genetics and Reproduction
Glaistigs reproduce sexually and are viviparous. Their gestation period is nine months.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Glaistigs are herbivorous and are not very adaptable. There is, however, one exception to their herbivorism: milk. Glaistigs love the taste of milk, to the point that for some, it can be addictive.
