Kitsune

Kitsune are a type of Yokai, one of the demons of Naraka.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Kitsune have two forms: fox and humanoid. In their fox body, a kitsune is physically identical to a fox, but is larger, stronger, and has multiple tails, the specific number depending on their age.   In their humanoid body, a kitsune appears to be very similar to a Human, but retaining their foxlike ears, tails, and eyes.   Kitsune have a strong connection to Magic, allowing them to instinctively cast a wide variety of spells. They have a natural proficiency with charms and, to a lesser extent, illusions.

Genetics and Reproduction

Kitsune reproduce sexually and are viviparous. Their gestation period is eight months, and they are typically born in litters of two to three. A pregnant kitsune can change form without affecting her children.

Growth Rate & Stages

Kitsune are born in their fox form and don't typically gain the ability to transform until they are about six years old. They start with one tail, and they gain a new one roughly every thirty years, up to a maximum of nine tails.
