Gliese 581 d is the outer planet of the Gliese 581 system and within its habitable zone. Therefor it was a good canditate for a colony and the first pioneers landet in 2112. Gliese 581 d was the scene of the first battle of the Great Schism Civil War and is now owned by the Federation of Free Systems.
Geography
Gliese 581 d is an earth-like planet with its own flora anf fauna but without intelligent life forms.
It has great plains and widespread forests, big lakes and seas as well as mountain formations.
