The company is the result of the merger of equals between the aerospace subsidiaries of MacroTech (MTX) and the Raytheon Company (RTX), which was completed on April 3, 2010. Before the merger Raytheon was the largest supplier of equipment and personnel to the US Military, this has not changed since the merger.
