Astos (As-tos)

Astos is a place of pristine and polished buildings. One of well kept gardens and concrete paths. It’s a metropolis of twelve interlocked districts, surrounded by a gargantuan wall that both shelters residents, and keeps those from the outside away. As a place rooted in the praise of the White Pantheon, many Astorians look to holy paladins and knights with awe and respect, especially those of the Round Table, who rule over Astos.
As such, Astorians have an innate detestment towards those who would praise deities from another pantheon. Followers of the Black Pantheon especially are either executed, or banished to the island of exiles with the other, “ugly people”. Astos demands to be a place of holiness and it is perhaps for this very reason, that the darkness within it is particularly hard to exterminate.
