Suffering

Created by GabeGrimoire
Pain and improvement, loss and regrowth, struggle and triumph. This is the way of life for Clerics of the Suffering Domain, constantly seeking trials to learn from and grow stronger. They hone their bodies and minds to be able to handle pain, and to deliver it too. In combat these Clerics are able to cause overwhelming pain and misery to their enemies, both physically and mentally, crippling them and allowing the Cleric's companions to finish them off.

Student of Pain

1st-level Suffering Domain feature   While you aren't wearing armor or using a shield, your AC equals 10 + your Constitution modifier + your Wisdom modifier. Your Dexterity modifier does not affect this.   Additionally, you gain Proficiency with Martial Weapons, and you learn either the Chill Touch or Sword Burst cantrip, which counts as a Cleric cantrip for you.

Amplify Affliction

1st-level Suffering Domain feature   You can increase the pain that a creature suffers from. When a creature you can see within 60 feet of you gains the Bleeding, Blinded, Dazed, Deafened, Frightened, Paralyzed, Poisoned, Shocked, or Stunned condition, you can force it to make a Constitution Saving Throw. On a failed save, the creature gains one level of Exhaustion. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a Long Rest, unless you expend a Spell Slot of 1st-level or higher to use it again.

Channel Divinity: Sudden Sorrows

2nd-level Suffering Domain feature   As an Action, you present your holy smybol and cause untold agony to one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. The creature must make a Wisdom Saving Throw, and has Disadvantage on the save if they are Bloodied. On a failure, the creature takes Piercing or Psychic Damage (you choose) equal to half your Cleric level, and it gains the Bleeding condition at a number of Bleed Stacks equal to your Wisdom modifier. On a success, it takes half damage and does not gain the Bleeding condition.

Strength from Suffering

6th-level Suffering Domain feature   For every creature within 30 feet of you that is Bloodied, you have a +1 bonus to Attack Rolls, Damage Rolls, and Saving Throws you make, as well as a +1 bonus to your Spell Save DC. This effect can stack up to 5 times.

Divine Strike

8th-level Suffering Domain feature   You gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 Slashing or Piercing damage (your choice; magical). When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Pain's Endurance

17th-level Suffering Domain feature   You are able to endure the hardest of harships. At the start of each of your turns, you regain 5 Hit Points if you are Bloodied.
