Morristia (More-is-tea-a)

To die in combat is a fate most common, but to those who worship Morristia, it’s a fate often overturned. To rip apart your enemies in combat and use them as stepping stones or tools, is the quickest way to garnering the attention of Morristia. She enjoys the concepts of pain and death, and toying with them excessively. Which is why over every battlefield, large or small, she watches and listens. If someone interesting reveals themselves, her gaze is often unshakeable. Those with the right spirit and faith, are given an opportunity. If they take it, the gift of undeath will be theirs. After all, nothing makes a better servant and warrior, than one who won't stay dead.

Piety Progression

Piety is a measure of a character's devotion to their faith. It favors those that stay faithful, and curses those that break way from the faith, unless atonement is given. Some examples of how you might earn or lose Piety with this deity can be read below. Note that earning or losing Piety often requires you to have intent doing so (but not always, as per GMs discretion).

Earning Piety

  • Summon or directly cause the creation of Undead creatures.
  • Participate in a fight of a grand scale.
  • Torture or otherwise prolong the pain of creatures (this can include yourself).

Losing Piety

  • Give a creature a merciful death and/or afterlife.
  • Shut down the possibility of a deadly fight happening.
