Theralia (The-rally-a)

Every sailor, pirate and otherwise navigator of the sea, is cautious of the one who governs over it. Theralia is a territorial deity, often showing no remorse to anyone who defiles her domain. She is chaotic, and often ignores the prayers of those who thereafter trespass into the sea. If Theralia spots an outsider, she decides whether or not they deserve to live or die--often on a whim. When disaster spurns, she is there to witness it. It is because of all this, that many fear her and regard her as an evil deity full of wrath. In reality however, she is a force of nature. Just as she can be merciless or begrudging, so too can she be merciful and compassionate. Theralia's strong emotions may dictate her behavior, but invoking her wrath is not something so easily incurred. Defiling her domain or disrespecting her though, is a sure way to do so.
