Roxi Hirochner (hee-roach-ner)

As seen in

(a.k.a. Deftest Gun in the West, Miss Hirochner)

Firearms enthusiast...   While not quite love at first sight, Rowen Hashiba found himself intrigued at the sight of the American markswoman. A chance meeting later that day would put them face to face, and after sizing him up some, Roxi invited him to her home. Typically not one for dating or socializing for that matter, Rowen couldn't bring himself pass up the offer. Wowed by her reverence of history and devotion to her craft, he felt a tenuous connection start to form. The night was abruptly interrupted by the brutal warlord Scar, however, forcing Rowen to reveal his identity as a Ronin Warrior. When Scar gained the upper hand, Roxi found herself in an unusual position to help Rowen turn the fight around. At first she didn't know what to make of him, but after seeing the man behind the Armor, she decided he would be the perfect man to dedicate her life to. In this Wild Westerner, Rowen has found his equal and opposite.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Roxi possesses a moderate level of upper body strength from a lifetime of hefting long rifles. She is ambidextrous and has near perfect vision. As a self-avowed meativore, she is pretty lean.

Body Features

Roxi has a deceptively thin frame which she hides under her signature denim jacket.

Facial Features

Her eyes and chin are fairly sharp with a small sharp nose. Thick curly bangs hang over her eyes.

Identifying Characteristics

Aside from being dyed eye-poppingly blue, Roxi sports thick, bouncy hair. A tiny patch of her natural orange can be seen most of the time atop her head. She has thin curly locks that dangle infront of her ears.

Physical quirks

Roxi tends to pig-snort when she laughs.

Special abilities

Moderate Strength
Roxi can tussle if need be, as she demonstrated when she blocked Tanya, the Lady Ronin of Typhoon, from slugging Cye's girlfriend Brianna Johansen in Aftermath Ch. 7 "Black Hawk". Was able to kill two Dynasty Soldiers with one throw of her Bowie knife in Aftermath Ch. 12 "Age of Despair".
Trick Riding
A holdover skill from her high-school years, Roxi's performed stunts on the back of North American Hardrock Incarnation Boulderdash in Aftermath Ch. 10 "The AnimArmors" and took potshots at a Dynasty barge while sitting out of the window of Mia's jeep in Foes From Another World Ch. 17 "Symphony of Flame".
Trick Shooting
Roxi has a knack for "impossible" shots, a skill honed from her early teens through her rodeo work.
Dual-Rifle Wielding
Roxi spent years refining this skill but does not perform this often because it is very demanding of her body and risks throwing her off balance. Her accuracy suffers but it is a fan-favorite stunt of hers.
Show spoiler
In the very early drafts for Aftermath this ability was very much exaggerated.

Ambidexterity
Able to dual-wield pistols and use rifles comfortably with either hand.
Excellent Vision
Her 20/20 vision allows for near pinpoint accuracy with distant targets.
Roxi Hirochner with rifle in hand

Keen Hearing
Heeding advice from her grandfather, Roxi wears earplugs in order to preserve her hearing. Whether its women's intuition or a side-effect of too much peace and quiet, Roxi is able to sense when things are "off" as demonstrated when Don Marquin is stalking Shannon and just before the Were-Pack rush in to attack her cabin.
Moderate Agility
Years of paint-balling matches with her surly cousins made her proficient in climbing trees and navigating obstacles.
Quick Reflexes
A necessity when it comes to reloading quickly in the middle of a fight.

Apparel & Accessories

She loves denim and lets everyone know it. She is almost never without her loose-fitting denim jacket with large abalone buttons. In addition to being light and comfy in all weather, it serves to conceal the revolvers she carries with her often. Don Marquin shredded it while pursuing her, but she was able to salvage the buttons afterward and have a new one made. She loathes dresses as much, if not more, than Tanya Sanada, and even for formal occasions will wear elaborate Western-themed garb. She used to carry a single silver bullet on a gold chain around her neck as a good luck charm but was forced to use it to stop Don Marquin when he attacked Shannon. She wears jeans and steel-toed hiking boots even when at home.

Specialized Equipment

Despite Japan's strict gun laws, Roxi wears two concealed gun harnesses crossing her back under her jacket and carries a pair of loaded revolvers in the holsters at nearly all times in event of a Dynasty attack. Her personal arsenal includes twin Colt Diamondback revolvers, a Weatherby .416 Magnum elephant rifle, a Winchester 1901 shotgun, and her iconic Sharps.   She carries a Bowie knife in a sheath concealed in her boot. She uses a Ruger No. 1 for shooting skeet in her off-time and nicknames her fast draw revolver Billy after Billy the Kid. All of her personal weapons are inscribed with a Bible verse in Latin: "To love good, is to hate evil". Despite the availability of Japanese trucks, Roxi went through incredible lengths to bring her favorite black Dodge Ram overseas with her.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Early Life

Roxi spent most of her life in Colorado up until graduating high school before moving overseas to abide by her grandfather's will, eager to leave the money-grubbing relatives behind and immerse herself in a new country while bringing a bit of the Old West with her.

Events of Aftermath

She makes her first appearance in Ch. 6 "Three's Company" while competing in her final professional marksmanship match. While conducting some research, Rowen encounters her in a library and some friendly banter leads to a casual invitation. Roxi eagerly shows off the collection she is determined to preserve and demonstrates her fast draw skill. After the two team up to defeat Scar, Rowen carries her to Mia's estate eager to introduce her to the others. From then on Roxi pledges herself as a staunch ally of the Ronin Warriors against the Dynasty, nearly taking Pharaohn's arm off at the shoulder with her elephant rifle and blasting a hole clean through Black Hawk's wing. When the Mutant Warlords severely injure some of the Ronin, Roxi personally tends to Rowen.   While she doesn't quite see Don Marquin, she was able to identify his position from sound and emptied her revolvers in his direction, forcing him to reveal himself. Her heroism earns the ire of Beast Warden Dygra, who permits Cerberus and his pack-mates to hunt her down at her cabin. Roxi makes a narrow escape into the forest before they can break in and is unexpectedly rescued by Boulderdash, with the rest of the Incarnations making quick work of the Were Pack. When Danae returns to invite the Ronin to Thanged, she initially refuses to allow Roxi to come. Roxi vows to someday prove herself to the warrior woman.
Battle of the Citadel
Roxi insists on doing her part in the offensive launched against Dygra and accompanies the Ronin to the border of the Dark Territory itself. Initially staying with the civilians, Roxi is dragged into combat against the samurai lich Rujek, forced to use her rifles point blank against the undead warrior. When Black Hawk poisons Anubis, Roxi attempts to take his place on the defensive line. While she is able to down Dynasty Soldiers with relative ease using her Sharps, her efforts are ultimately rendered moot as Dygra simply conjures new soldiers.   Roxi reluctantly returns to camp, assisting an ailing Anubis in the process. When he is found seemingly dead the next day from the poison, she expends nearly all of her remaining ammo performing a 21-gun salute in his honor. Even after having his face stomped into pudding by a newly-arrived Pegasi, Balthazar attempts to attack Roxi, Mia, and Brianna, but Anubis awakens from his coma and saves the three. Roxi watches from the sidelines as the Ronin successfully drive Dygra from the Mortal Realm and the land is restored to its former beauty.
He stretched his neck forward and stared intently at something in the forest. Shannon and Brianna looked confused, but Roxi frowned.   “…He’s pointing…There’s something out there. I’m not taking any chances, I’m calling Rowen.” Roxi took a step towards the door. Suddenly branches cracked and leaves rustled a short distance from the cabin. The three women glanced in the direction of the commotion.   A gray-furred form sprang out into the open. It stood on two legs and wore tattered blue pants and carried a sword of some kind at its’ waist, but resembled a wolf more than a human by way of features. It glared at the women with yellow eyes and snarled angrily.   “It’s back! It’s back! Shannon, get inside! Hurry!” Brianna screamed and pulled Shannon to her feet and shoved her towards the door. Britania had nearly gotten Shannon inside when the both of them stopped upon realizing the werewolf hadn’t come after them at all. Roxi took a tentative step towards the cabin, but the werewolf’s eyes followed her, not Shannon.   “It’s after her!” Shannon croaked.
— Foes From Another World Ch. 8

Events of Foes From Another World

The Council of Houses takes note of Roxi's valor as well as that of the other women and Master Breeder Dar Dar Vanes, Norin delivers a fyrhund pup as a reward in Ch. 8 "Goldheart". At the same time the Ronin are in the Vortex Realm, a vengeful Don Marquin comes after Roxi, chasing her into the forest where the two engage in a high-stakes game of cat n' mouse. Months prior, Roxi was forced to let her natural hair color grow back out. This proves unexpectedly crucial in staying out of sight of the demonic werewolf. Despite her best efforts, she fails to land a shot on him and the two engage in a standoff, ending only with the timely intervention of Goldheart and a resupply of silver shot from Shannon and Brianna.   Roxi kills Don Marquin, but Goldheart is left mortally wounded. She briefly contemplates euthanizing him with a shot to the head but he expires of his wounds when Shannon is unable to tap into the Armors to heal him in time. She buries him close to the cabin but is later shocked when a Labrador Retriever behaving eerily similar to him appears. She treats him the same as Goldheart from then on, fully convinced they are one and the same.   When Dygra returns to the Mortal Realm alongside a newly resurrected Talpa, the Ronin set a plan into motion to wipe out key Dynasty servants. Anticipating an attack, Roxi, Mia, and Brianna lure the Mutant Warlords out to the lake where Raurgoth emerges ready for a Dynasty Dinner. Having earned the respect of the Thangiens, she accompanies Rowen to the pairing ceremony for Dais and Danae, later bearing witness to the horrible outbreak that nearly decimates the city.   Largely unaware of incursion from Mal Daggur's forces, Roxi spends most of her time at the cabin. In Ch. 27 "Emdourachil" she has the unfortunate luck of being the first to encounter Kento in his fully-transformed state when he is drawn to the cabin by her barbecue cooking. She tries to frighten him away with her plinking rifle but he is still able to filch two full racks of ribs off the grill.

Events of Neo Ronin
While visiting Roxi at the cabin, Rowen is alerted to the presence of a Neo Ronin among the kids, later revealed to be Eliza Archer's son, Archibald. The Dynasty zero in on the location as well, forcing everyone to bunker down inside the sturdy walls.   With Rowen weakened from a magical parasite and Dynasty Droids peppering the cabin with gunfire, things seem grim at first. Despite Roxi fielding her full arsenal, ultimately Archie ends up saving the day after awakening his Neo Armor, much to Roxi's ire.
“ALLRIGHT YOU LOW LIFE LILY-LIVERED RUSTY BUCKET SCRAP SNAKES! YOU WANT ME, COME GET ME-” Roxi screamed at the top of her lungs but paused and lowered both rifles when she saw her front yard littered with lifeless metal shells.

Events of Fight Alone

Things are quiet for the most part until a freak dimensional rift allows a fragment of Kaosu's spirit to reincorporate from the Void in Ch. 12 "Celebrated on Thanged: Tyatatiante". The partially resurrected monk stumbles onto the cabin grounds, but because Roxi is unfamiliar with him, she warns him off with her rifle. Goldheart's attitude towards the man raises her suspicion and only after relaying the incident to the guys does she realize her error.   When Bautan uses dark magic to manipulate Kento into transforming and hunting Ryo in Ch. 13 "The Hunt and the Hatred", Kento's super keen sense of smell and ravenous appetite brings him near the cabin where he is determined once more to burgle more barbecue. Roxi appears to be loaded for bear, however, and Kento decides against it and slinks into the forest. Only later is it revealed that the "guns" she had on her person were actually cookware attached to gun handles.
Roxi turned away slightly and Kento caught glimpse of a pistol hanging in its holster from her belt. He also spotted the stock of a rifle lying across a wooden shelf on the grill. Kento’s eyes widened and he sat back on his haunches. He glanced from the guns to the grill: Steak…shot in the face…steak…shot in the face…steakshot in the face… He wondered if he should wait and see if she’d go back inside at some point then spotted a tray full of condiments sitting on a nearby table. Apparently Roxi intended on keeping watch over her grill until she finished cooking.
— Fight Alone Ch. 13
“Hey, Roxi! Nice to see you! How’s it holdin’ up at the cabin? Brit doing alright during all this?” Roxi didn’t answer and flung the burlap sack onto the table. She placed her rifle on the table and braced her palms against the stone.   “Ryo, I know good and well weird shit goes on around these parts, and I knew dating Rowen wouldn’t make it any better, but can you please tell me why the hell did I shoot down a fifteen pound sparrow?” Roxi demanded. Ryo blinked and looked down at the sack. He grimaced when he saw a stiff curled bird foot poking out of the sack.
— Cataclysm War Ch. 9

Events of Cataclysm War

The sheer staggering scope of the destruction to the city forces Roxi and Brianna to stay on the sidelines and weather out the war at the cabin. When Beastlord dispatches scouts abroad, Roxi downs a Sehoui spy. She notifies Ryo and the others before deciding to take the carcass home and have it stuffed and mounted. She narrowly avoids an altercation with Kento, who-unknown to all-is being affected by poison.   After Sage of Halo returns, the Ronin set a plan into motion to force Beastlord and his army back into the world they came from. Roxi takes part in a literal all-hands-on-deck defense aboard Sky Platform Argonauth, deploying her dual-wielding skills to lay waste to incoming airborne attackers.   The Ronin prove successful in their campaign and not long after returning, the upcoming Blood Dawn festival is announced. Roxi attends along with all other close associates of the Ronin and enjoys an otherworldly rodeo hosted at Mazzan.

Events of Spacequake

With the full force of Phitdaitiarona's power bearing down on Earth, Roxi is forced to evacuate with the Ronin's other close allies aboard the Argonauth as it travels to the Nether Realm. She shows no sympathy towards the deceased Dhr Aurir when it is revealed he planned to sacrifice the entire vessel and all aboard in a mad plot to attack Mal Daggur's fleet. After a few days in the Nether Realm it is pronounced safe to return to the Mortal Realm. Even though Roxi had no way of tracking down the missing Rowen, she unexpectedly runs into him in his home town of Osaka while getting her truck serviced.   While waiting at Mia's estate, she notices a bullet lodged in Kento's shoulder and properly identifies it as a copper-tungsten armor-piercing bullet, the first sign of a hostile third party operating behind the scenes against the Ronin...When the Four Queens appear, she recognizes Witheren's voice as being the one she heard when Goldheart returned. She is unaware of Rowen being sent along with Sage to 1940's Europe, but while flipping through one of her grandfather's old history books she comes across a very peculiar photo of a painting on a vintage Curtiss P-40...
He did a double take when he saw the chibi-style depiction of Rowen's girlfriend, Roxi Hirochner, wearing western wear and sitting astride a gun as if riding a broomstick. A large stylized bullet with an angry face and two clenched fists erupted from the muzzle. Bold type identified the plane as Silver Bullet and smaller writing towards the bottom said "Roxi, git yer gun!" Rowen looked over his shoulder down at Sage and noticed his exasperated expression.   "What?" Rowen remarked, perplexed. Sage rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Oh c'mooooon, the likelihood of any of these craft surviving to the modern day is practically zilch," Rowen reasoned.

  War of Woe
Roxi gets into an argument with a gun-control activist, countering that people will kill with whatever they can get and guns even the playing field. Even though she speaks from the heart and considers herself right, she is singled out by the MIB and put on a secret list of known allies of the Ronin. A riot squad is dispatched to the cabin to apprehend her and Brianna, and while Roxi and Brit bunker down inside, Goldheart was caught wandering outside and is fatally shot in spite.   A vengeful Roxi emerges from the cabin and swiftly slaughters several soldiers with point-blank shots before being disarmed. One of the soldiers plans to violate her to break her spirit but Witheren enforces her Pact and revives Goldheart in his original fyrhund form. His blast barks send the cowardly soldiers fleeing. After the Ronin Warriors deploy the Soul Wave to eradicate evil in the city, the Magical Interception Bureau is disbanded and Roxi exonerated of any charges planned against her as a result of their meddling.

Education

High school graduate from Colorado, United States

Employment

Her many championship wins and her grandfather's inheritance pretty much have her set for life. The match where Rowen first sees her was actually her farewell match as she more or less retired from the competitive circuit in order to manage her grandfather's estate. She will still participate in exhibition matches or endorsements from time to time. As a foreigner of well repute she enjoys some benefits staying in Japan. Occasionally Japanese tourists in America will rent her properties so they can "live like John Wayne".

Mental Trauma

Roxi has always prided herself on her quick reload time, but when her skill would have mattered most while the fyrhund Goldheart battled furiously against the Dynasty werewolf Don Marquin, her reflexes failed her, resulting in Goldheart suffering mortal wounds. In retaliation, Roxi pumped the werewolf so full of silver he disintegrated, but she would blame herself for failing to save the fyrhund.
Spoiler Warning: Planned Content!
  War of Woe
During the military's clandestine campaign to neutralize the Ronin Warriors, the Men In Black snoop around Roxi's former residence in Colorado and find skeletal remains with gunshot wounds. Roxi confesses to Rowen that in high school she dated a guy who turned out to be a violent control freak. When her grandfather's will went into effect, she couldn't wait to leave the country and planned to stay at one of her grandfather's homes until she could make the trip. The sleazy guy hunted her down and accused her of trying to run out on him. Fearing for her life, she shot him in self defense. The reason she hesitated with Rowen at first was because she worried he'd be yet another mistake, but when she saw his true humanity, she knew she could trust him.
"I kept my finger on the trigger, and I warned him to stay away, but he kept coming and coming, just a little bit every time. He kept scootin' forward bit by bit even when I told him to stop. I told him to stop! He tried to grab the barrel, and I blew his brains out, Rowen, I'm not gonna deny it..." Roxi recounted with a haunted look in her eyes. Rowen listened patiently and said nothing as she ran her tongue over her lips. "I buried him deep and lit out of the country second I had the chance. It should've been cut n' dry self defense, but his family had deep pockets lousy with high ballers... Thankfully no one suspected foul play, they thought he went boozin' around to drown his sorrows. I buried his ass deep and forgot all about him, because he wasn't a man in my eyes. He was a monster, a rabid dog I had to put down...   "Now these spooks went snoopin' around my old home and dug up his moldy carcass. They're going to use that to get to me, and they're gonna use me to get to you. But the thing is...I'm through running..." Roxi stated firmly and glanced at Rowen with conviction in her eyes. "I promised I'd fight evil, no matter what. These guys gunnin' for you aren't people, they're monsters. I'm gonna make my last stand here, and by golly, I'm gonna go down swingin'!"

Intellectual Characteristics

Roxi is an avid historian when it comes to classical firearms be it peashooters or heavy ordinance. In addition to her vast collection, she has several bookcases full of tomes concerning firearms in history. While she prefers the cozy comfort of her cabin she is well versed in survivalist tactics.

Morality & Philosophy

Roxi is a fierce believer that an armed society is a polite society. She shoots from the hip, shoots often, and doesn't stop shooting until her enemy is dead, dead, dead. She carries a big boomstick and lets it do the speaking for her and shoots until everything stops twitching before she deigns to ask questions. Of the Ronins' new civilian allies, she is the most combat savvy and will not hesitate to kill in defense of herself or others.

Taboos

Despite her reputation as a rootin', tootin', gunslinger, she is a staunch advocate of gun safety and responsible use of firearms. Thus she gets easily riled when someone disparages her use of firearms.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

When asked by Rowen why she dyes her hair, Roxi explains it is a matter of principle and a middle finger to embittered relatives. She does not speak of her extended family and it is implied that her parents are either estranged or deceased and she was raised by her grandfather. She is of the opinion that but for the "permanent residence" clause in her grandfather's will, her greedy relatives would have sold off everything not nailed down and pocketed the money for themselves. When she learned of Rowen's duty as a Ronin Warrior, she made a personal vow to fight evil with as much ferocity. Even Tanya admits she is one of the few Mortal allies of the Ronin able to fight evil on even terms and win.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Roxi can identify the metallic composition and type of bullet used at a glance but tends to turn her nose up at simpler weapons or modern firearms such as automatics, clip, or belt fed. For her guns are the first and last resort, and even though her antics would normally land her in jail, she is able to skirt the long arm of Japanese law thanks to timely intervention from the guys.

Virtues & Personality perks

Fiercely determined and loyal, quick-witted and light-hearted.   Has a recurring subscription to "Guns N' Buns" magazine, which despite the suggestive title, is actually a good source of new cooking recipes for Roxi to try and gun-related articles and merchandise to peruse.

Vices & Personality flaws

Very stubborn and loathe to run away from a battle even against superior firepower.

Personality Quirks

Roxi can estimate wind speed by using her bangs and when focusing on a shot tends to block out any nearby sounds including someone speaking to her.

Hygiene

The cabin gets its water piped in from a underground well, so showers are not an issue, but Roxi tends to smell of gunsmoke and barbecue most of the time.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Rowen Hashiba

Romantic. Bearer of the Armor of Strata and Warrior of Air, theirs is a mutual attraction with her drawn to his charm and intellect and him drawn to her fighting spirit and historical knowledge. The two fought side by side at the Battle of the Citadel, and even though Roxi ran out of ammo early on, she proved her willingness to face true evil. He's become a fan of her cooking and helped her train Goldheart when the fyrhund had difficulty understanding commands. He'll do repair work on her truck for her from time to time. After the spacequake left the Ronin scattered without their memories, she ran into him by chance at an auto shop in Osaka and relayed the info to Ryo.

  Last Dance
The two eventually marry off-screen and Roxi gives birth to twins Albert and Marian Hashiba.
"Twins?! Well look at you, you regular love-machine you..." Ryo teased as Rowen sat in a wooden chair cradling a newborn in each arm.   "I thought the whole low blood pressure thing would've been an issue on that front..." Kento commented absently.   "Har har," Rowen snorted and rolled his eyes before going back to beaming over the two babies.   "So, whatcha gonna name-em, son?" Genshiro queried.   "Albert and Marian."   "'Albert'?" Ryo scowled in confusion.   "Albert Einstein..." Rowen sighed, embarrassed he had to explain. "And Roxi wanted her named after Maid Marian even though historically she wasn't really a swash-buckling princess. Besides, Martha Jane Hashiba would've been a bit of a mouthful..." Rowen chuckled and glanced up only to see the blank stares of the others. "Martha Jane Cannary...Calamity Jane? C'mon you guys..."   "ROOOOOWWWIIIIEEEEEE! SWEETIE! I came as fast as I could!" Everyone looked towards the front door as it swung open.   "Mom! Come on in!" Rowen called.   "That's your mom?" Roxi hissed through her teeth from where she lay in bed. "She's so young!"   "It's complicated..." Rowen whispered back and waited for his mother to find her way through the cabin interior.   "Uhh...Mari! Hey...what brings you way out here on such short notice?" Genshiro asked cautiously.   "Oh don't be silly...I dropped everything as soon as I heard the news. I'd expect no less of you, after all. Besides, I'm a grandmother now! And there's cheeks that need pinchiiiiiing!" Mariko Hashiba replied cheerfully in a singsong voice and moved past the others into Roxi's bedroom. "Oh my gosh! They're just adorable! Oh, I'm so proud of you, son!" Mariko leaned down and hugged Rowen gently.   "Thanks, Mom..." Rowen replied softly and went back to gazing down at the twins.   "They take after their old man too," Genshiro quipped.   "Well let's hope they don't take after any vices at least...." Mariko commented coolly and folded her arms over her chest, tilting her chin up slightly. Genshiro rubbed the back of his head awkwardly.   "C'mon you two, not infront of the newborns," Rowen warned and passed the bundles of joy back to Roxi. He grunted softly and pinched the bridge of his nose, rubbing his eyelids briefly.   "Whoa, you okay there bud?" Kento asked when Rowen leaned over slightly.   "Yeah...I'm fine...just a bit of a headache, that's all...feeling a little tired after everything..."   "You're tired? You're not the one who spent all day trying to push the equivalent of a side of beef out your-" Roxi began, scowling irritably.   "Alllllright you brutes, let's give the new parents some peace and quiet! Go on now! Shoo shoo!" Mariko made a show of fluttering her hands at Ryo, Kento, and Genshiro until they finally backed out of the bedroom. "You two just get some rest. We'll be here if you need anything," Mariko whispered and winked at Rowen, who waved appreciatively. She shut the door behind her and Rowen sat on the bed next to Roxi, marveling over the twins with their wispy blue locks. He rubbed his temples again, drawing a worried glance from Roxi. She reached out and rubbed his shoulder gently. Rowen collected himself and clasped her hand reassuringly, his gaze overflowing with love for her and the newborn twins.

Ronin Warriors

Friendly. Roxi gets along with just about any of them and even earned the grudging respect of the former Dark Warlords. Even Tanya drops her coarse attitude towards her after seeing her in action against Black Hawk. While Kento enjoyed her cooking once before, he's been reluctant to visit the cabin again since he raided her grill while in a feral state, and "still owes her a side of beef".

Brianna Johansen

Friendly. Roxi offered room and board at her cabin when Cye's girlfriend needed a place to stay and Brit has lived at the cabin since, helping out with chores and groceries as well as caring for Goldheart. Even though Brit is too timid to use guns, Roxi trusts her to be responsible if the need arises.

Mia Koji

Cordial. The two butted heads over the use of firearms on the Koji estate even though Roxi acted to protect Shannon. Eventually they come to respect one another as Mia acknowledges the necessity of firearms and Roxi learns to be more considerate of gun-shy individuals.
Eliza Archer
Friendly. Former client of Roxi's grandfather. Visits the cabin occasionally with her son.
Archie Archer
Cordial. The bearer of Neo Strata is as fierce a fan of bow and arrow as Roxi is of guns and has butted heads with her over the effectiveness of arrows versus bullets. Roxi jokingly threatens to blast Archie when he shows off his Neo Armor and even with his power, Archie books it.

Thangien Allies

Chi Chi Lina, Danae initially is aloof towards Roxi due to Thangien culture abhorring firearms despite the advanced weaponry of Pegasi steeds. Upon seeing her valor first-hand during the Battle of the Citadel, she and her friends present their report to the Council of Houses, earning Roxi the recognition of Bainshaebo's ruling class.

Thunthen Allies

Roxi had never met a Nobeyl until Rowen employed her expert aim to help administer a counteragent to a transformed Kento rampaging through the city. At first she seemed surprised by the dragon-like Tar Uhnin and Bak Thraplek but quickly comes to view them as people just like anyone else she talks to.

Black Hawk

Very Hostile. Only Tanya and Danae have surpassed Roxi when it comes to damage dealt to the former human. Roxi views Black Hawk as a big ugly bird deserving to be downed while Black Hawk derides Roxi as "Strata's Hillbilly Bitch".

Night/Mutant Warlords

Very Hostile. Roxi demonstrated her willingness to pull the trigger against Scar and has taken potshots at Chaizar and Balthazar as well. Balthazar attempted to violate her but timely intervention from Yulie Yamano and White Wind put the kibosh on the conniving cobra mutant's pervy perfidy.
Don Marquin
Very Hostile. Roxi earned his hatred after not just thwarting his attack on Shannon, but causing the death of all of his pack-mates. He attempts to attack Roxi at the cabin and forces her to flee but is stymied by Goldheart. While he mortally wounds the fyrhund, Roxi mercilessly shoots him until he ultimately expires.
Witheren, Maiden of Blood
Wary. Roxi had no idea what to make when she heard a voice comfort her while she hugged a reincarnated Goldheart. Only recently has she learned it was indeed divine intervention, and it seems her fighting spirit has garnered the attention of the Goddess of Righteous War herself.

Family Ties

Grandfather
Deceased. She adored him and values his legacy more than her own fame. Former real-estate developer specializing in rustic settings and avid firearms enthusiast, collector of antique guns and Western memorabilia. Specifically crafted his will with Roxi in mind. Died of old age.
Parents
Unknown. She never mentions them at all, not even to Rowen. She never mentions siblings so it is presumed she is an only child.
Cousins
Hostile. Childhood seemed innocent enough, but as they grew older they gained a bit of a mean streak and it took Roxi to put them in their place. Roxi's skill at paintballing made them increasingly bitter because they could not stomach a girl out-shooting them. When her grandfather's health failed, all the relatives salivated over his fortune but the thought of living in Japan disgusted them.

Religious Views

Roxi doesn't explicitly state her faith nor does she openly practice. She firmly believes guns are just as God-given as life itself.

Social Aptitude

Not nearly as prickly or foul-mouthed as Tanya, she is more prone to showing her tender side on occasion.

Mannerisms

Roxi speaks with a very pronounced mid-western twang. She tends to use alot of gun-related and Western-lore puns.   Roxi is heavily inspired by Heather Gummer, the gun-nut wife of Burt Gummer from Tremors (the classic first installment in the franchise), and Annie Oakley as portrayed in the television miniseries Buffalo Girls. There is a scene where Calamity Jane praises Oakley's luck to which she replies "it wadn't luck, it was necessity!" that if she didn't bag a kill every night, her family would starve. Coincidentally, both roles were played by Reba McEntire...

Hobbies & Pets

Goldheart

Even though the fyrhund pup was intended as a gift to all the civilian allies of the Ronin, Roxi ended up becoming his primary caretaker, and as a result Goldheart became fiercely loyal to her, staying by her side at nearly all times and willing to risk his life to protect her from Don Marquin.   He dies from his wounds, but the day after burying him, a Labrador Retriever appears out of seemingly nowhere and behaves affectionately towards Roxi. She remains 100% convinced it is Goldheart reincarnated due to the dog exhibiting all of the fyrhund's mannerisms, including responding to Thangien vocal commands.

Ammo-Crafting
Unlike the games, the real deal requires a fair bit of know-how and a smidge of chemistry. More than a necessity, to Roxi, hand-casting bullets is an art form. She makes frequent use of a reloading bench.

Speech

I'm not sure how much of the "90's era" voice actresses are still active. Alex McKenna famous for voicing Sadie Adler in Red Dead Redemption 2 would be a good fit.

Wealth & Financial state

The exact amount is not known, but in addition to the cabin in Japan, there are a number of other properties in North America under Roxi's name from her inheritance that she leases or rents out to wealthy clients. Her collection boasts nearly four-hundred vintage firearms, mostly replicas as well as priceless originals. She receives a fair stipend from Eliza Archer to host a children's outdoors camp at the cabin grounds.

“I had to let it grow out. I used up the last bottle of the stuff I usually use last month, and I’ve been trying to reorder, but the company claims they discontinued it, which is bullshit, because I’ve been ordering in bulk for years…” Roxi grumbled to herself and walked inside. “Come on in.” Rowen remained standing on the porch. Roxi leaned outside, scowling. “IN!” she grabbed the front of his shirt and pulled him inside then closed the door behind them.

It looked like a caricature of a woman that bore an eerie resemblance to herself complete with voluminous hair. The woman wore vibrant western wear and sat astride a rifle sidesaddle as if riding a broomstick and had one hand raised with her fingers pinching the brim of her cowboy hat. A stylized bullet with a little angry face and clenched fists could be seen erupting from the rifle muzzle. Bold lettering identified it as Silver Bullet and smaller type towards the bottom read "Roxi, get yer gun!"
