Dorumaa is the resort moon of Almas, located in the Cularin system.

Ecosystem

In 47 BBY, the Dorumaa Investment Group was formed and began terraforming the planet Dorumaa to turn it into a resort world. Power generators were installed near the moon's core to warm it and recycle the atmosphere. Gravity generators were also installed. Despite the revived water life making the moon a bit more dangerous than most resorts, Dorumaa was one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Expansion Region and was terraformed to become the Dorumaa Resort.

History

The Head Manager of the Dorumaa Resort for decades has been the Human female, Mar Daghreb. Daghreb controls five property managers, each of them with five managers under their command. Dorumaa's facilities include multiple island hubs, staffed by young people so perpetually smiling that they were known as the Neo-Caarites. Daghreb personally oversees the premiere resort "Palatia Hub", which has a large tower at its centre. Palatia Hub caters to the richest clients that visit Dorumaa. In 0 ABY, a squad of rebels from Echo Company of the 31st Regiment discovered that Imperial Intelligence Special Agent Mardek Dellel was vacationing on Dorumaa. They captured Dellel at the Palatia Resort Hub (where he was staying) and flew away in one of the hotel's luxury airspeeders. On the same evening that this occurred, TransGalMeg Industries Executive Jon Elasso was found murdered in his VIP suite. While evidence the squad was involved in the murder was found, surveillance footage seems to contradict this.

Tourism

Tourists of all kinds visit Doromaa, arriving at the main docking bay in Dorumaa City. Though Dorumaa City has a variety of entertainment and shopping facilities (including the popular Cantina Oceana), most guests head to one of several island hubs by either monorail or personal shuttle landspeeder. The quality and cost of each resort hub vary wildly, with the Palatia Hub being the most luxurious hub catering to VIP guests.

Palatia Hub

The Palatia Hub is situated on a remote island, with only airspeeder travel available to reach it from Dorumaa City. Its main building is a massive tower, with VIP rooms located on the top floor, accessible by eight dedicated lifts that run down the exterior of the building. In addition to various sports grounds, activity centres, restaurants, and shopping outlets, it is also the site of the extremely exclusive Boonta Boonta Lounge nightclub.
