History
Jhako is a wild, jungle-covered planet. Its native inhabitants, the Cholaa are a primitive insectoid species with a highly competitive social structure and cultural focus on the hunt. Though welcoming to those who come in peace, the Cholaa are known to consume the flesh of any species that present a sufficient hunting challenge.
Jhako was the location of an Imperial comms relay facility, which was attacked by a squad of rebel troops from Echo Company, 2nd Battalion of the 31st Regiment. During the attack, the facility's comms dish and AA gun were destroyed by the squad's technical officer Private Tal Kav. The only surviving member of the Imperial platoon on site was its commanding officer, Lieutenant Shirfel Truwin, who was taken prisoner by the rebel forces. The rebel squad's diplomat, Private Kesc Gifl'el also managed to win the trust of one of the planet's tribes of Cholaa, who have promised to fight Imperial forces they encounter.
SoroSuub Corporation was keen to investigate reports of valuable metals and minerals on Jhako. However, the violent nature of the Cholaa made this incredibly difficult. The company's expert surveyor Dr. Hessen Rahbin was dispatched to the planet to investigate potential deposits and come to some agreement with the Cholaa. Unfortunately, Dr. Rahbin was killed by an Imperial craft during the aforementioned comms facility assault by rebel forces.
