Private Mattalo Jardoo was first encountered by the squad in the med clinic at Resolute Base on Udemaath. He had been part of a scouting party that encountered a nest of hostile insectoid creatures and was badly wounded and poisoned with some form of neurotoxin. Jardoo was in an incoherent state, raving about "Beasts with claws". Major Yalor sent the squad out to determine what these creatures were.
