He attended Absalom's College of Mysteries, is heavily covered in irezoko tattoos to declare his magical might, and has some method of largely warding himself from scrying by Exley and even more powerful diviners at the College. He purchased a stolen tashtari from Ahmoset Nez for the purpose of "harvesting it for parts".
