Tissan was a prominent, Eldessarn human wizard who lived around the coming of the Sixth or Current Age of Azocar. Along with his friends in the adventuring group Nine Storms, he was instrumental in defeating the great Hordes and was thusly feted as a Hero of the Wars. The archmage was also instrumental in schism amongst practitioners of the arcane that lead to the founding of the Cerulean Spire and was its inaugural leader.
